چکیده
ABSTRACT Osteosarcoma represents one of the most devastating cancers due to its high metastatic potency and fatality. is insensitive traditional chemotherapy. Identification a small molecule that blocks osteosarcoma progression has been challenge in drug development. Phillygenin, plant-derived tetrahydrofurofuran lignin, shown suppress cancer cell growth inflammatory response. However, how phillygenin plays functional roles remained unveiled. In this study, we showed inhibited motility vitro. Further mechanistic studies indicated blocked STAT3 signaling pathway. Phillygenin led significant downregulation Janus kinase 2 upregulation Src homology region domain-containing phosphatase 1. Gene products regulating survival invasion were also by phillygenin. Therefore, our provided first evidence repressed interfering potential candidate therapy.

MicroRNA-34a suppresses colorectal cancer metastasis by regulating Notch signaling
Dysregulation of microRNA (miRNA/miR) expression is causally associated with cancer initiation and progression. However, the precise mechanisms by which dysregulated miRNAs induce colorectal tumorigenesis remain unknown. In the present study, downregulation of miR-34a was identified in colorectal cancer cell lines and clinical specimens. Clinical studies revealed that miR-34a expression was neg...
متن کاملNatural Product Ginsenoside 25-OCH3-PPD Inhibits Breast Cancer Growth and Metastasis through Down-Regulating MDM2
Although ginseng and related herbs have a long history of utility for various health benefits, their application in cancer therapy and underlying mechanisms of action are not fully understood. Our recent work has shown that 20(S)-25-methoxyl-dammarane-3β, 12β, 20-triol (25-OCH(3)-PPD), a newly identified ginsenoside from Panax notoginseng, exerts activities against a variety of cancer cells in ...
متن کاملMicroRNA-144 suppresses osteosarcoma growth and metastasis by targeting ROCK1 and ROCK2
Osteosarcoma (OS) is the most common primary tumor of bone. MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are a class of endogenously expressed small non-coding RNAs that are strongly implicated in cancerous processes. However, our current understanding of the biological role of miRNAs in OS remains incomplete. In the present study, miR-144 was markedly downregulated in OS cell lines and clinical specimens. Low-level exp...
متن کاملNiu-Huang-Shen suppresses hepatocellular carcinoma cell growth and metastasis by regulating Yap1 expression
Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is one of the most common cancers types. Niu-Huang-Shen (NHS), a Chinese medicine, has been reported to exert antipyretic, anti-inflammatory and vasodilatation effects. However, whether NHS has inhibitory effects on HCC cell phenotypes has remained elusive. In the present study, Cell Counting Kit-8, colony formation, fluorescence-activated cell sorting and Transwe...
متن کاملMicroRNA-493 Suppresses Tumor Growth, Invasion and Metastasis of Lung Cancer by Regulating E2F1
miRNAs have been proposed to be key regulators of progression and metastasis in cancer. However, an understanding of their roles and molecular mechanisms is needed to provide deeper insights for better therapeutic opportunities. In this study we investigated the role and mechanism of miR-493 in the development and progression of nonsmall-cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Our data indicated that the exp...
